We probably won't have a 3rd child. The biggest reason we can't consider a third child is that there is no more room in our bed. Virtually every night, by about 4 or 5AM, everyone in the house is sleeping in our bed.
Lily tends to be first. She usually arrives with cries and drama sometime between 2 and 4 AM. Most nights she'll just collapse into the space between Cindy and I. Sometimes she demands a drink, but is usually comfortably asleep before room service returns. Rarely does she conserve space - she's a bed hog, arms out, legs on top of others, etc.
Nate makes his request through the monitor, typically about 4am. First whimpers and then cries. He's hungry and this is understandable at his age.
So, all through the night - every time I wake up - it's like taking attendance. I check on both kids, reorganize, reorder and try to make enough room for everyone. I just don't see where a third kid would fit.
