Little Rebel

What started out as a small insurrection has become a full on rebellion.    Lily climbs what she's told not to climb and makes demands with the clear intention of making even the simplest activity a circus.   So, if mom is across the house, then that's the only person who can fill her sippy cup.   If dad is making dinner, then he's the one that has to change her diaper.

I'm happy with our parental response.   It has been firm, but not at all strict.    Our biggest problem is usually trying not to laugh.  When she's sitting on the coffee table and gives you that 'what are you gonna do?' glare, it's hard to stay firm.    This is one case where my typically emotionless Aspergian response is an aid.

We began using timeouts recently, to limited effect.   It hasn't proven all that effective at stopping every bad behavior but it redirects, resets and denotes negative behavior for her.
