Lily is two and Cindy is 9 months pregnant. So, I live with one person who is deliberately frustrating and another who is consistently agitated.
It's not all that bad though. Cindy is remarkably reasonable given the circumstances, and only pregnant for another week. Thursday we get a whole new set of issues which might make us look back on this period with nostalgia. Well, probably not, but the boy will be a burden both of us can carry. Or, well, at least Cindy can eat lunch meat and drink diet pop & alcohol.
The good thing with Lily is that it's only a 'phase', even if that phase is a year long. It's also a lot of fun to see disobedience. She likes to climb on the coffee table, sit down and then beam that proud smile at us, to see if/how we'll react. The hardest part is not laughing. The second hardest part is dragging her across the house for a timeout. It's not easy being consistent -- being strict is a lot of work.
